Cwmbran Newtown Cage Bird Societyextends to you a cordial welcome to this our 39th Open Show, with best wishes for success on the show bench. Once again we have been able to produce a very good list of specials, together with the added attraction of prize cards and rosettes, and we hope that you will find them to your satisfaction.
On arrival you will find ample parking facilities right outside the hall, also refreshments will be available at moderate prices inside the hall.
Before closing we would like to thank all those who have supported this event and all who supported us at our Open Show last year and helped make it a success. We would like in particular to thank Mr R Davage one of our former members and past committee members for his kind donations towards todays special list

EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE
Birds will be accepted for staging at the show hall ONLY on Sunday morning 20th October between 7.00am and 9.00am. All birds having previouslybeen entered by the closing date of midnight Monday 14th October 2013.
TELEPHONED ENTRIES
Cage labels will only be sent out to exhibitors on receipt of a S.A.E. Otherwise they will be available for collection at the show hall at booking in times.
All telephone entries are at the exhibitors our risk, no responsibility will be accepted for wrong classifications.

NOTE: All birds competing in the breeder classes must be wearing the closed coded ring of the actual exhibitor with the year 2013 thereon. Such rings to have been purchased from the Budgerigar Society through the General Secretary. Exhibitors must indicate their code numbers on their entry forms.
CWMBRAN NEWTOWN C.B.S. SHOW RULES
- All birds must be the bona-fide property of the exhibitor for a minimum of 7 days prior to the show; budgerigars as per BS show rules.
- Judges awards are final, except where fraudulent practices have been discovered, in which case all prizes will be withheld and entry fees forfeited to the society.
- Any protest against an award must be made in writing accompanied with a £10.00 deposit. If such protests are without foundation the money shall be forfeited to the society.
- Entries must be staged in cages suitable to their types and species. Please abide by the specialist club rules, drinkers to accompany cages.
- Birds will be in the hands of experienced fanciers at all times during the show.
- ONLY OFFICIAL STEWARDS ARE ALLOWED IN THE SHOW HALL DURING JUDGING.
- The society shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to birds, cages, boxes etc, that may occur through any cause during the show.
- The committee has the right to decide any matter arising not covered by these rules.
- For breeder awards in both the Zebra & Bengalese sections, birds must be closed rung with the exhibitors closed coded current year ring. ZFS rings for Zebra Finch and NBFA rings fir the Bengalese section. Exhibitors must indicate their ring code number on their entry forms, and nominate breeder birds accordingly. Single birds not elegible.
