GABC Meeting

December 5th 2016

TREASURER’S REPORT:

We paid for our funding of the “hudl” account.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

We still need a President elect

Scott had a conversation with a school board member regarding regaining our athletic pass revenue. We will continue to stay in touch with the school board on this.

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR’S REPORT:

Winter sports are in full swing. Nothing more to report at this time

Spending & Funding: - Cindy – had a request from girls’ basketball to purchase an ipad, which was approved.

Had a request come in from the girls’ basketball team for some basketballs and a cart. Cindy is going to talk to the coach to see what is in his budget. The amount requested is approximately $884-.

Request from ice hockey to fund some ice time; it was decided that we would fund $250- per athlete on the team.

Membership – We have 74 members this year, which is a decrease from last year– a bit over 100.

Newsletter – Laurie – Met with Kevin to get some information on the conference re-alignment. Also started following up with colleges regarding athletes who are playing sports at the next level. We will also include that we are looking for a president-elect.

Publicity – Placed ads in the paper for the fall athletes

COMMITTEE REPORTS - Continued

Concessions – Gretchen – Offered burgers at the girls’ basketball game, approximately 30 burgers were sold. We will continue to sell these until the burgers are gone. We received the next batch of Meijer gift cards for the winter sports.

Raffle – Nothing at this time.

Scholarships – Jay – Nothing at this time.

Corn Roast – Jason – Still looking for someone to shadow for this summer

Volunteerism – Jenny – Nothing at this time.

OLD BUSINESS:

Spring Liaisons – We will need girls’ soccer & boys’ golf

NEW BUSINESS:

Palermo’s is willing to offer a fundraiser for any sports that would like to participate.
