ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)

PHASE 1: MELTONBY ROAD, POCKLINGTON AND PART OF MELTONBY ROAD, MELTONBY

PHASE 2: MELTONBY ROAD, MAIN STREET AND FEOFFEE LANE, YAPHAM

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be as follows: -

Phase 1 : Meltonby Road, Pocklington and Meltonby Road, Meltonby

To prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the entire length of Meltonby Road, Pocklington and part of Meltonby Road, Meltonby junction with Meltonby Lane, Yapham commencing on the 13th March 2017

The closure is necessary to enable “carriageway maintenance” work and to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order will be valid for 18 months. Work is anticipated to be completed within approximately 3 days weather permitted.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: Meltonby Lane, Yapham, Main Street, Yapham, Feoffee Lane, Yapham, Fangfoss Road, Yapham Mill, Yapham Road, Pocklington, Garths End, Pocklington and The Mile, Pocklington

Phase 2: Meltonby Road, Main Street and Feoffee Lane, Yapham

To prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the entire length of Meltonby Road, Main Street and part of Feoffee Lane, Yapham junction with Fangfoss Road, Yapham Mill, commencing on the 16th March 2017.

The closure is necessary to enable “carriageway maintenance” work and to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order will be valid for 18 months. Work is anticipated to be completed within approximately 4 days weather permitted.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: Meltonby Road, Meltonby, Meltonby Road, Pocklington, The Mile, Pocklington, Garths Ends, Pocklington, Yapham Road, Pocklington and Fangfoss Road, Yapham Mill

The roads will be closed at all times to through traffic but open to Emergency Services, access to properties directly affected by the closure and pedestrians (please note there may be times when this is not possible due to the nature of the work).
