a)Automatic swing door drive unit shall be Kaba FDCwith low-noise and low-energy electro-mechanical design; comply with the requirement DIN 18650 and is verified by TüV, or equivalent system.
b)Automatic swing door unit shall incorporate the following features:
- To be operated electro-mechanical design (no electro-hydraulic – to ensure quiet operation and low overall maintenance cost)
- The max closing force is smaller than or equal to 150N
- be capable of adjusting opening speed, closing speed, door opening angle (70o – 95o) and hold-open time (1 – 30sec)
- The system shall be low energy consumption (< 100W)
- The system shall come with normal rod (or with parallel rod or with sliding rod), including all other necessary support frame and power connection
- The system shall come with safety sensor Eye-tech, or equivalent on both side of the door panel
- The system shall come with activating sensor on both side of the door (Please select the appropriate sensor)

Automatic swing door drive unit shall be Kaba FDCwith low-noise and low-energy consumption (< 100W power consumption) electro-mechanical design, together with appropriate activating and safety sensor; comply with the requirement DIN 18650 and is verified by TüV, or equivalent system.
Particular Specification:
The automatic swing door drive unit shall
a)be operated electro-mechanical design (instead of electro-hydraulic design) and opening by motor actuated action and closing by spring action with closing force smaller than or equal to150N
b)be small in size with dimension max 530 x 100 x 104mm
c)be capable of operating doors of weight up to 222kg (max up to 367kg) and width 0.9m (i.e. min door width for wheelchair users)

Codes and Standards
The automatic swing door drive shall comply with the codes and standards, or internationally equivalent standards:
a)German standard DIN 18650-1 and 18650-2 with verified by recognized third party, such as TüV Nord
b)EN 1154 size EN 3 – 6 for controlled door closing
c)BS 476 Part 22 for Fire tests on building materials and structures.
Complete System Requirement
a)Automatic swing door unit
i)Drive unit
To be electro-mechanical design, self-contained drive unit, low power consumption (< 100W), with only one moving part, ensuring superior reliability and low overall maintenance; to be non-handed to insure maximum versatility in adapting to varying field conditions; to be sealed in a housing against dust, dirt and moisture (Protection rating IP 30)
ii)Electronic control
The drive unit is to be controlled by a self-contained switch and potentiometer. The control shall adjust the functions of drive unit, opening & closing speed and hold-open time (1 – 30sec)
iii)Connecting Hardware
The surface mounted operator is to be connected to the door by means of a steel arm with normal rod (or with parallel rod or with sliding rod). The door arm shall be secured to the swing door as per the suppliers’ recommendations
iv)Motor actuated open
The automatic swing door unit shall power the door open by forces transmitted mechanically to the drive shaft and shall maintain a constant engagement throughout the opening cycle
v)Spring close
The automatic swing door unit shall be spring closed as a normal door. The spring shall be non-handed and shall return the door to full close position.
b)Arm type
For general entrance application, push or pull arm compatible with the operator shall be used. Special consideration shall be taken for fire-resisting doors in compliance with the statutory requirements and relevant British Standards or internationally equivalent standards(Please select the appropriate arm type for your own application, if needed)

c)Program selector
Each drive unit shall be equipped with integrated program selector switch, which is equipped on the drive unit cover with the following functions:
“Automatic”: Automatic operation. The door can be opened from both sides
“Manual”: The inner and outer activation units are disconnected
“Open”: The door is permanently opened
d)Activating device
To comply with the following physical and performance requirement (Please design the combination of the activating devices). The activating device shall be installed at the both side of each entrance and recessed into wall

f)Emergency Access
i)The automatic door system shall be fail-safe and shall act as normal door closer upon power failure operation

The door assembly shall be fitted with stainless steel hinges and other hardware and ironmongery products necessary for the satisfactory installation of the door system, and shall be prepared to accept other hardware and ironmongery products specified elsewhere in the Specification and shown in the Drawings
