- Sense of civics

- Communications center for activities and pass info about the government
- Motivate and inspire activism
- Motivate and inspire each other
- Aid and recruit candidates
- Serve in training grounds, young republicans
- Provide candidates for other forums, and other uses
- To welcome regular citizens to educate them about the GOP
- Support and answer questions citizens have of the republican party

- Design and structure a proper meeting place of ideas, keep it in control
- Continue keeping the meeting within the guideline of GOP agenda

- Get out the vote 10:1 ratio – pull the “R” at voting time
- Keep the membership growing
- Bring the Rep Club and make it a separate entity
- Have a paid membership and membership requirements
- QUESTIONS FROM FLOOR
- Pat Shefferfield : What is the reason of separating the club from the party?
- A: The club needs flexibility to operate, avoid tyranny, maintain checks and balances, we don’t ever get into the situation that the Rep party went through in previous years
- Charlene Capers: will the club be a 501C?
- Yes
- Nick: for those worried about the word PAC. The Houston Pachyderm Club does not have a PAC. You can still have an organization the does their business without being a PAC

- Mrs Houston: has fig tree offering figs to everyone, want to have contests that are fun food will be provided by the club, sides and drinks will be brought by members,
- Post dated checks will be accepted for the $5 donations, need people to help set up for the meeting, and help take it down
- “Leader” will be written monthly and sent out by email. All community information can be added to leader.
- Christina: thinking about starting a young republicans group, and block walking
- Mary: needs volunteers
