Summary and Deadlines for Costs/Cheques

** Please ensure that all cheques are made payable to School District 62 and note in the memo portion of the cheque what the cheque is for (Football Registration). In addition, we may ask that you provide cheques to secure raffle tickets issued to players – these cheques will NOT be cashed unless funds from ticket sales are not submitted.

b.  Fees may be paid by postdated cheques but should be paid in full by December 30th. It is at the discretion of the parent to determine the timing and amount to postdate so that all registration fees are covered in full by September 30th.

c.  The cheques (whether postdated or not) must be included with the registration package. If you are applying for Langford Sport Assist or Kidsport please note this on your registration and we will follow up with you prior to September 30t if funds have not been received by that time.

3.  Gear Deposit (Mandatory) – $500 -NOT Cashed unless gear is not returned.

a.  To gear up a player, including home and away jerseys, costs approximately $1,000 per player. A gear deposit will be required to ensure that gear is returned.

b.  Any gear that needs to be replaced requires further fundraising by continuing parents and boosters.

c.  Gear Deposits should be postdated to December 31, 2015. No gear deposits will be cashed until after the gear return date which is anticipated to be 1 week following the final game of the season. ALL gear MUST be returned cleaned. Your cheque must be provided when you submit your registration.

BELMONT Football – Priorities, Team Policy and Contract

Priorities

1.  Family

2.  Academics

3.  Football

4.  Everything else

Bulldog Policies

1.  I will think before I act. My actions should always be ones that will reflect positively onto myself, my family, my team and my school.

2.  I am a student first; an athlete second. In order to stay eligible I must have maintained a good academic work ethic during the school year.

3.  I will treat all people (teammates, coaches, teachers, opponents, etc.) with respect. The Belmont Football family values honesty, fair-play, and respects other people’s property and opinion.

4.  I will be reliable and accountable. I understand that the expectation is for all players to be present (and on time). If I have to miss a practice I will communicate with the Coaching Staff in person, via cell or text before practice begins. I understand that missed practices will be considered by the staff when determining playing time.

5.  I will be a team player: I understand that the team comes first. I also understand that I play a crucial role in the team’s success. Cultivating good relationships with my teammates, exhibiting a strong work ethic on a daily basis, and displaying positive attitude, even through adversity, are all elements that are directly related to the team’s success.

6.  I will look after my health. It is my responsibility to report all injuries to the trainer before I go home. The proper responsible adults (doctors, trainer, parents, and/or senior coaches) will determine my status for practice or games.

7.  I will use good judgement in my social life. Belmont has a strict policy when it comes to alcohol and drug use. Belmont Football adheres fully to this policy and strongly promotes its students to adopt a safe and healthy lifestyle. Belmont Football also reserves the right to consider behaviour and choices occurring outside school environment in determining the ability of a student-athlete to participate in team activities.

Player Contract

I have read the Belmont football policy. I understand that as a member of the Belmont Secondary School football team, I am held to a high standard of behavior both on and off the field, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I understand that playing football at Belmont is a privilege, not a right and that I can be removed from the team for failing to adhere to any of the above rules.
