Wacoochee Princess Parade
We are looking forward to our 1st Annual Princess Parade on Thursday, November 9, 2017. All Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd Graders will have the chance to participate and get dolled up and pretty for this event.
The girls will have the opportunity to listen to college and high school level crowned “Beauty Queens” share lessons with the girls about inner beauty, poise, and helpful tips. They will get dolled up by skilled beauticians who will fix their hair. They will also have the chance to parade in front of the crowd before the pageant begins. There will be no judging or awards given for this age group. This is just simply to help these girls understand their inner beauty while learning lessons on etiquette.
We will allow the girls (K-2) to stay after school for this event and we plan to feed them dinner. All girls that will be participating in this event will be kept in a classroom until the parade starts. The princess parade will start at the beginning of the pageant. After all of the K-2 participants have had their chance to shine, they will be given preferential seating so they can watch the pageant and see the older girls (Grades 3-6) participate. If you do not want for your child to stay after school, but do want them to participate in the parade, they will need to be here by 4:30 CST.
A photographer will be available before the pageant begins. We will send information on this at a later date. All money must be sent ahead of time and we will ensure that your child’s picture is taken by the photographer. There will not be any other picture opportunities before the pageant begins.
We have a few dresses that have been donated. We also have a few people that have said they want to help students who do not have their own dress. If you need help obtaining a dress or can contribute dresses, we need to know by Friday, October 27th. Please contact Mrs. Lane, Counselor at WES. at

Unfortunately, due to limited space parents will not be not be able to attend this specific event before the pageant begins. Parents will be able to enjoy the sweet surprise of seeing all the girls dolled up and pretty! However, the PTO will be recruiting help with serving dinner to the girls.
I would like for my child to participate in the PARADE ONLY, not the events planned at the school. I understand that I must have my child at the school dressed and ready to participate by 4:30 (C.S.T.) . My child will check-in at the front office with school officials and will be escorted to the designated area to enjoy hearing “Beauty Queens” share lessons about inner beauty, poise, and other helpful tips.
