Zebra Technologies Corporation is in search of a Marketing Communications Intern in our Corporate Marketing department located in either Camarillo, California or Vernon Hills, Illinois.
POSITION SUMMARY
Zebra Technologies has recently updated its brand identity with a new logo, messaging, brand guidelines and marketing templates. As a Marketing Communications Intern you will develop and implement the strategy to review and measure the impact of the new brand identity, and offer recommendations for additional branding opportunities.
Under close supervision of a Director and/or Senior manager the candidate will:
1. Develop and implement the strategy and tactics for a branding impact study both internally to Zebra and externally in the market place.
2. Conduct and analyze competitive research as it relates to branding and messaging
3. Research and report on other industry successful branding initiatives in order to assist in identifying additional brand adoption opportunities such as actions, tools, and business segments.
4. Identify where and how Zebra’s new brand identity is being adopted and where there are additional branding opportunities.
5. Work with global Marketing Communications representatives to gather data and recommendations on expanding branding opportunities and required tools.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of two years of undergraduate work in Business, Marketing Communications, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Solid understanding of how to use the Intranet as a research too
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Understands the concept of a company brand
