Core Internship information

Project purpose (Why does the internshipexist? What is it there to achieve or deliver?)
You will work within a team of 2-4 on a real consulting project. As a team you will discuss and put together a strategy on how you will approach the project and gather information. With the project you are expected to conduct research, analyse findings and producerecommendations which you will then present to the client at the end of the 10 weeks.

Responsibilities of the Role
  • To work collectively as part of a team, respecting others’ opinions, actively contributing to the work of the team, meeting with the team when required and supporting team members.
  • To communicate when needed with the client
  • To decide on an approach to the issue posed by the client
  • To conduct the required research in order to address the business issue i.e. surveys, interviews, online research
  • To analyse findings and spot trends
  • To think creatively to suggest new approach to business problems, based on findings and other knowledge brought to the project
  • To work together to producea presentation of findings and recommendations
  • To jointly produce a report of research outcome(s)
  • To present findings and recommendations to a small audience
  • Any other relevant activities related to the project as appropriate

All applicants will need to attend a group assessment afternoon on Wednesday 2nd December 2015, where QConsultants will be selected. Please make sure you are available to attend.
A compulsory consulting training session will take place on Wednesday 9th December and your first client meeting will take placein January 2016and last no longer than 1 hour. Please keep these dates and times free so that you can attend if selected.
