Naperville Central Athletic Booster Club

For a 2015 Senior Student

The Naperville Central High School Athletic Booster Club is please to offer a

scholarship in conjunction with the Rick Jeffers Redhawk Fund. It is established

to assist students as they continue their education.

Current NCHS seniors, who have been involved in the athletic program are encouraged to apply. An essay must accompany eachapplication addressing the question, “How have you faced an obstacle in your life and become a stronger person as a result?” Items that the selection committee will

consider are years of enrollment in athletic programs or years of support to athletic

programs, diversity (how many and various sports), community service, and most of all, their essay.

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded and the recipient named at the Senior

Athletic Awards banquet on Sunday, April 19, 2015 (5-7 pm.). All applicants are expected to be present at the banquet.

Application must be completedand returned to the Athletic Department office no later than Monday, April 6, 2015 (NOON). Applications can be obtained

This scholarship is made possible through the Rick Jeffers Redhawk Fund. Rick

Jeffers was a parent and active Booster Club member who passed away on March

11, 2008 after a battle with colon cancer. Rick’s three children, Blake ’03, Kara

’05 and Katlyn, ’07 were all athletes at NCHS. Rick was their biggest fan and

supporter.
