good day!

hope this finds you both well and warm! things are going very well here in my service and its hard to believe that i have just a few short months left before i'm finished...well that's if i'm not granted my 6month extension request.

one of the reasons i'm trying to extend is that i submitted a grant proposal last october for the renovations to a development center which will house a library, training room, and the sewing machines of our livelihood project; finally after revisions it has been posted on the peace corps website.

it is a grant through the peace corps partnership program in which it is posted on the website and donors can choose to donate. one of the forms that i had to submit with the grant was a list of possible donors. i hope you both don't mind but i listed you both because of the contacts, some of which are mutual, that you have in erie, pa that may be possible donors. unfortunately the funding under the us embassy club in the philippines was withdrawn, so i only had this option for the community project.

I was hoping that between the two of you you could help me disseminate the information to Rotaract Club, Rotary, Mercyhurst College and to any other philanthropic contacts you may have. I truly appreciate any help considering i only have 2 months to raise $7,000 for me to complete the project myself that is if i don't receive the extension; however, even if i don't receive the extension the project will continue since another PCV has agreed to finish it for me. you can see the listing at http://www.peacecorps.gov/index.cfm?shell=resources.donors.projdetail&projdesc=492-219. its under the donors section listed under philippines. i've also attached the copy of the written proposal for you. if you'd like any other information please just ask...thanks!
