YMCA of Pueblo celebrates 31 years of challenging companies to get healthy
Pueblo, CO; September 12, 2015 – You’ve heard of mixing business with pleasure, well September 12-October 1 the YMCA of Pueblo is providing 31 local organizations, over 3200 participants, with an opportunity to mix business with fitness. Saturday, September 12th the YMCA of Pueblo will kick off the 31st Annual Corporate Cup with a 5K Run/Walk on the Y Campus with over 950 participants. The annual three week event is celebrating 31 years of fostering an environment where companies can help their employees get healthy, build relationships and have fun!
The Corporate Cup is a fitness challenge to local organizations, businesses and corporations. The purpose of the Corporate Cup is to promote healthy lifestyles in our community. Employees, both male and female, both young and old, both fit and unfit, participate in the activities. Businesses are divided into three divisions depending on their size and compete amongst one another in various events. Team events include golf, bowling, softball, volleyball, kickball, tennis, executive challenges, team challenges, disc golf and tug of war. Individual events include a predicted 5K walk/run, 12.4 mile bike, basketball shoot, football throw, climbing competition and 1 mile run.
