SHIPPING DOCUMENTATION:

Packing Slip Requirements:

1.  The packing slip must be located on the exterior of the last pallet or container loaded on each trailer and must be easily accessible.

2.  Packing slip must be clearly marked “packing slip.”

3.  The envelope must be securely attached to prevent accidental removal, but not stapled so as to hinder removal or tear papers. It is recommended that adhesive-backed envelopes be used when possible.

4.  The packing slip must indicate the Access Business Group (ABG) part number/SKU (Stock Keeping Unit number) and full purchase order number with associated line numbers (Example: 123456OP, Line [#]).

5.  The packing slip must indicate whether it is a partial or complete shipment and state “partial” on incomplete shipments.

6.  Packing slips must indicate complete breakdown of ABG part number/SKU quantities per shipment, with corresponding lot/batch numbers.

7.  When two or more purchase orders are shipped together, the packing slip must clearly indicate the PO line number(s), quantity shipped per order and should include the number of pallets, units per pallet, and quantity per pallet.

8.  The unit of measure must compare exactly as ordered.

9.  Include a copy of the Packing Slip with the Bill of Lading.

Bill of Lading Requirements:

1.  The Bill of Lading must state the ABG Purchase Order number and line number(s).

2.  Bill of Lading must contain the ABG part number/SKU.

3.  Bill of Lading must include the product class and National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) product classification number.

4.  Bill of Lading must include the number of pallets and total shipping containers.

5.  Special handling information must be included. For example: ‘sensitivity to humidity’ or ‘freeze protection.’

6.  Include a copy of the Packing Slip with the Bill of Lading.

7.  When shipping collect to ABG, please include the proper bill to address and ABG Trip Number per the ABG Domestic Routing Guide.

8.  One Bill of Lading document per shipment.
