Notes:

v  Doors open at 7:30am for the public

v  ** PLEASE NOTE: All of our staff coach multiple teams – athletes can’t be dropped off with their coach until the above mentioned meeting time.

v  The coaches of your team will meet you at your scheduled time above outside of the warm up area. At this point, the coaches will hand the athletes their wristbands and have a parent meeting to give you any last minute or updated information. If you arrive prior to your meet time please text your coach to get a wristband. After the parent meeting, the coaches will take their athletes to start warming up. Parents are free to go and watch the event. Parents are not allowed in the warm up room.

v  On Saturday: Once the team has competed, the coaches will take the athletes back to the warm up area to debrief. Parents are asked to follow and pick their child up from the designated spot (that will be confirmed at the meeting) within 10 minutes of competing.

v  On Sunday: Once the team has competed, the coaches will take the athletes back to the warm up area to debrief. Parents are asked to follow and pick their child up from the designated spot (that will be confirmed at the meeting) within 10 minutes of competing. We ask that all athletes stay in full uniform with their Pink shirt on until awards.

v  On Sunday, when it is time for awards all teams will be asked to meet their coaches on the competition floor. All Panther teams will sit together at awards. After the awards, the team will take pictures with their trophy and be released to their parents.

Uniform

v  When athletes meet their coach – they must be competition ready. Athletes are asked to arrive to their meet time (assuming they have their uniform) in full uniform (or shorts and shirts), with hair done and make-up applied (If applicable).

v  Prep uniforms consist of your Pink T-shirt, black shorts, white shoes and hair bow.

v  All athletes are expected to be in full uniform for Awards. We request that athletes please do not make any adjustment to their hair, makeup, bow, or uniform between when they compete and their awards ceremonies.

v  When wearing only the uniform top, the uniform skirt is the only appropriate bottom. If you need to wear pants, we ask that you please put on your Pink “Living our Dream” T-Shirt.

v  When wearing the uniform skirt, only athletic shoes may be warn. (no UGGs, moccasins, etc.)

v  If any of our staff notices this policy not being adhered too – we will let the athlete know.

Hair

v  Athletes are asked to arrive to their meet time with hair done and make-up applied (If applicable).

·  All athletes will put all their hair into a high front pony tail and bangs should be pulled back and away from the face. Click here for example.

·  Hair should be worn straight - teasing the ponytail for volume is encouraged for level 1 Tiny, Mini & Youth athletes and expected for all other athletes.

·  Hair should be secured with a separate hair tie from the one attached to the bow. We ask that you please try to attach the bow so that the ears face forwards when viewed from the front.

·  Once hair is in the pony tail, run a straightener through it several times)

v  Hair must be completed before you can appear in your uniform. Make-up should follow shortly.

Make-up

v  Only athletes on Junior and Senior teams may wear make up. If any Tiny, Mini and Youth athletes show up with make-up, they will be asked to take it off.

·  Make up should be applied after the uniform is on and hair is done.

·  Make up includes: smokey eye (click here for a picture), mascara ( no false eyelashes), light blush and this specific lip stick: NYX Lip Lustre Glosssy Lip Tint in colour Antique Romance – which is hard to find so we are ordering it in for all 5 teams. The cost is $11 inc shipping.

Behaviour

v  Panther athletes and families are known throughout the BC Cheerleading community for always being polite, kind, and respectful toward the event producers, staff, and the athletes, coaches and parents from other clubs. We ask that you please join us on “The Panther Way” which is supportive of each and every cheerleader who has chosen to compete in our sport. (Remember you never know who’s sitting right behind you, so please refrain from any form of negative comments about anything, especially about any of the athletes... Think about how you would feel if someone else was talking about your own).

Emergency contacts (To be used only on the day of the event) if you can not reach your coach.
