3. Treasurer’s Report
Further to the auditing of the books, there has been a recommendation that receipts and invoices paid are to be kept separate. Also, where possible, non-PTA purchases should not be on the same receipt. It can confuse the accounts.
A letter of thanks is to be sent to the auditor ACTION Justine/Su
4.Family Disco
Went better than expected. Around £250 was raised. A few parents commented that the hall was cold. The event was mainly attended by the younger children. If run again, the timings may need to be looked at as it finished quite late for some of those attending.
5. Funding Requests
A request has been made for <£150 for skirts and t-shirts for the country dancers. APPROVED
The netbooks have been bought, and are having the software installed.
Emily Glew is putting in a funding request for a video camera and tripod and radio mikes. These will be used for the Year 6 production, Christmas play and Sharing assemblies. The committee agreed in principle, and Su Potter will ask for a completed request form. ACTION Su
6. Pamper Night – 25th March
On the night there will be 11 stalls, 15 therapists and 3 or 4 psychics.
There are some posters up around Tadley and more will be put up including the banner to go on the fence.

Those with electrical equipment will arrive at 6pm to have it PAT tested. ACTION George/Mike

Full-time helpers will not be paying.
7. EASTER EGG HUNT
Last year there was a conflict between the number of eggs bought and the number of children who entered. The committee has decided to still run the event this year, but not to charge entry as PTA funds can cover it on this occasion. All children to receive an egg. George will source these.
This announcement will go out on the next school newsletter. ACTION Su/Melissa
8.Summer Fayre – 17th June
This will need to be discussed at the next meeting.
9.Community Circus Event
The Big Top will be set up on the Hurst’s field from the 4th – 16th July. The activities will involve all the cluster schools. Children will be able to learn circus skills, and transport to this will be arranged. The tent will also be used in the evening for other events which may include a Year 6 disco, Dancing display and a circus performance involving local children. All PTA’s will be asked to help run an event. More information and request for help will be announced nearer the time.
10.Beetle Drive – 13th May
This will be discussed at the next meeting.
11.Any Other Business
The PTA box needs a false bottom, and a new padlock with multiple keys. The old padlock will have to be removed by force.
A request has been made that we are informed when the netbooks go ‘live’, and some feedback about their use.
‘Buckingham Covers’ wrote to the PTA about selling First Day Covers. There is no expense to the school, but we could get up to 40% per sale. The company needs to be checked out, and the cost compared to places like the Post Office. ACTION Richard
