Job Summary/Purpose:
To control stock and consumable items used within companywide processes, ensuring full control and traceability from goods inward to use and despatch. Some stock ordering is involved.
Job Outline:
The Stock Controller is responsible for:
·  Raising orders to maintain established stock levels @ central stores
·  Raising orders to for direct shipment to end user/customer
·  Dealing with external and internal customer regarding stock availability
·  Assisting with managing customer direct deliveries
·  Control of stock levels, ensuring there is sufficient to cover forecasted requirements
·  Co-ordinate and Issuing of stock to other flogas sites within the UK.
·  Identifying supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise;
·  Stock taking – including all stock held at Central stores.
·  Investigation and resolution of any stock discrepancies
·  Managing stock delivery schedules
·  Producing and presenting reports around the company wide stock position
·  Ensuring stock items held on CODAS and VISMA reflect the correct quantities and costs
·  Analyse supplier performance and manage yearly supplier safety critical assessments
·  Identify non conformances, action RoG’s and implement Corrective Actions, and negotiation appropriate credits
·  Updating and maintaining specialist computer software, to ensure correct price structures for re-sale.
·  Maintaining a comprehensive library of appropriate data
·  Day to day support to the Senior Stock Controller

Feature Sought / Essential / Desirable
1. Qualifications / Full current “Driving Licence” / Fork lift truck licence
2. Attainments / competencies / Computer literate; including competence in Outlook, Word & Excel. Good knowledge and competence in use of CODAS, reports and tools.
Have a proven track record in stock control / warehouse operations.
3. Aptitudes / Able to demonstrate a good level of numeracy and literacy
Able to effectively communicate with customers, internal and external, and colleagues at all levels
Able to show effective management of people and problems
4. Disposition / Able to show authority and leadership in managing contractors and suppliers.
Conscientious, thorough in task completion.
Flexible. / Enhances image of company when dealing with customers and external bodies.
5. Physical abilities, circumstances / Able to accommodate flexible hours of work – for example, month end stock takes, late arrival of goods/courier etc. / Able to physically handle parcels (with manual handling training)
