What types of advice/guidance can your service offer: / Ready2work offers an end to end service from initial pre-employment support through to in work support, including support looking for work, job clubs, one to one support, training information and advice, employment liaison and supporting clients through the first six months in work. We have grants to support tenants.
We are able to offer Better off in work calculations so customers can plan effectively and budgeting advice so that clients can adapt to changes in income.
We have a Financial Inclusion team who offer money matters advice and digital inclusion.
Our Neighbourhood Investment team support tenants with community and youth opportunities.

- Our work clubs offer support with application forms, online job searching and CVs.
- Our training programme can help you gain new skills. All our courses are free and run in different areas of Bolton.
- We offer volunteering opportunities. Volunteering can help you build your confidence and gain work related skills.
- Visit one of our UCAN centresor use our map of IT access across Bolton to get onlineand search for jobs, create a CV or complete online applications.
- Drop into a UCAN centre for a chat about your situation and more information on what we can offer.
- For tenants we can offer a training grant of up to £200 to support with the costs of going into education or training. Conditions apply.
Preventative and Enabling Service (P&E) for people at risk of losing their tenancy – call Karen Allsop for more information. Customers do not have to be BH tenants.

Talent match – working with young people to help them overcome barriers into employment. Contour Homes is hosting a talent coach for young people between the ages of 16-24 who are not on any work related programme.

What types of Advice/guidance can your service offer: / Centred on young people – the Project plan was co-designed with young people and our programme has young people at the heart of decision-making throughout. Talent coaches are providing what young people said was missing from youth employment schemes – a highly personalised, holistic approach that supports them to overcome personal and practical barriers to employment.

Description of service: / There are many ways we can help people get into education, training and employment.
Work Clubs: we offer support with job search and online job searching and application, cv building, application in writing, mock interview techniques. We also refer people to other employment support projects. We also have a licence to MyWorkSearch and can offer free 12 month subscriptions to this ‘one stop job search’ employability package.
Volunteering opportunities: Volunteering can help you build your confidence and gain work related skills. The demand for volunteering is fairly high and we have an application process in place. People can apply for volunteering in any of our services including supported housing.
Work Experience: Placements up to 8 weeks will be delivered group wide but with special focus on our core neighbourhoods so we will be targeting those living in our households.
Toolbox: We work in partnership with many developers and contractors to offer residents a variety of opportunities including temporary employment, work experience, part and full time apprenticeships up to NVQ level 3. This training can be in a range of trades or office-related areas, with many leading to full-time employment or career progression.
Apprenticeship: there are always opportunities for young people aged 16-18 to apply for apprenticeships and on average we recruit five new apprentices each year.
Mentoring: Great Places have trained mentors within different teams, departments and office to provide mentoring support to those living in our households and are volunteers and work placement trainees or need help with transition back to work.

Preferably those that live in a Great Places home but we can also help anyone living within those neighbourhoods where our tenants live.
