to Honor Them in a Special Program

George Pectol and Sarah Reasor Pectol were among the first families that settled Manti. If you are a descendant of George and Sarah, or other related families, we extend to you a special invitation to attend this honor day.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

9:00 AM Pick up information packets (or late registrations) at the History House Visitor Center,

402 N. Main, Manti. Tour of History House - Pectol memorabilia on display,

10:00 AMTour of family homes, Manti Cemetery graves, Patton House museum, old City Hall and

other points of interest in Manti will be open throughout the day for tours

11:00 AM Placing of a wreath program, meet at the D.U.P. monument, south end of Manti Cemetery

12:00 PMManti D.U.P. delicious luncheon, bake and craft sale, Manti Tabernacle, 100 S. Main, Manti

1:00 PMProgram honoring George & Sarah Pectol and related families, Manti Tabernacle Chapel

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

1. There are 100's of descendants for these families. The cost would be prohibitive to find all descendants and send out notices. However, we want all interested to know about the honor day. If you receive one of these invitations please send a copy to your aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, children and grandchildren. Ask other family members to also pass it along, help to get the word out.

2. We would like to publish an announcement in local newspapers, if there are many descendants in your area, please let us know the name of your local paper.

3. Contact us if you have possession of Pectol family memorabilia. Bring memorabilia as soon as possible, with a card explaining it, for display at the History House (museum). Please let us know what you have now, so that we can coordinate the displays.

4. A Collection of Histories of George Pectol and Sarah Reasor documenting the lives of these faithful pioneer ancestors will be available for sale. Please send family stories, pictures, histories, etc. suitable for inclusion to Michael Barclay or Jerry Lyn Lloyd, NOW. We would also like to include histories and pictures of all the children.

5. Send information on old homes and graves in Manti, and Sanpete for your family branch.

6. The expense of mailing invitations, telephoning contacts, & preparing the book for printing will be substantial, and rests upon family members. If you can help with some compensation, it will be appreciated.

7. Please make reservations, and book orders ASAP, or by September 6, 2004.
