TETRATHLON CLASSES
Class 1 – INTERMEDIATE BOYS / GIRLS (under 25 years)
90cm ride, 2000m run (boys) / 1500m run (girls), 3mins swim, 10m shoot
Class 2a – JUNIOR BOYS (under 15 years old)
Class 2b – JUNIOR GIRLS (under 15 years old)
90cm ride, 1500m run, 3mins swim, 7m shoot with one hand/turning targets
Class 3a – MINI BOYS (under 12 years old)
Class 3b – MINI GIRLS (under 12 years old)
80cm ride, 1000m run, 2mins swim, 7m shoot with two hands/turning targets
Class 4a – TADPOLES BOYS (under 10 years old)
Class 4b – TADPOLES GIRLS (under 10 years old)
60cm ride, 1000m run, 2mins swim, 7m shoot with two hands/static targets
Class 5 – BEANIES BOYS & GIRLS (under 8 yrs)
40-50cm ride (in the arena), 500m run, 2mins swim, 7m beanbag throw
Class 6 – ADULTS TEAM (over 25 years). One adult nominated per discipline
80cm ride, 1500m run, 3mins swim, 10m shoot with one hand
TRIATHLON CLASSES
Class 7 – JUNIOR BOYS & GIRLS (under 15 years old)
1500m run, 3mins swim, 7m shoot with one hand/turning targets
Class 8 – MINI BOYS & GIRLS (under 12 years old)
80cm ride, 1000m run, 2mins swim, 7m shoot with two hands/turning targets
Class 9 – TADPOLES BOYS & GIRLS (under 10 yrs)
1000m run, 2mins swim, 7m shoot with two hands/static targets
Class 10 – BEANIES BOYS & GIRLS (under 8 yrs)
500m run, 2mins swim, 7m beanbag throw
MIXED GENDER TEAMS: Teams in each age group to consist of three or four boys and/or girls from the same P.C Branch, best three scores to count. Teams can be all boys, all girls or any mixture.
Rosettes:
Individual places from 1st to 6th in each class
Team places from 1st to 4th in each age group
Individual phase winners
Special rosettes for first time competitors. Please state on entry form
Trophy for the highest score achieved by a B&SCPC member on the day
This event will be run in accordance with the 2018 PCTetrathlon Rulebook.
RIDING:
NO OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE XC COURSE THIS YEAR.
Competitors may opt to jump a lower course for a 400 point penalty – please state on the entry form.
The XC will not be timed apart from the gate and slip rail.
No horse or pony may go round the course more than twice.
£10 cash deposit (refundable) required on the day for cross country bibs.
LOCAL RULES:
All classes - If you have 2 refusals at a fence you may continue on to the next fence. You will incur 160 penalties for that fence but you will not be eliminated. If you try again and have 3 refusals at the same fence you will be eliminated.
If you miss out a fence without attempting it (intentionally or not) you will be eliminated.
Unfortunately you cannot carry on around the water, so if you are unable to complete the water jump after 3 refusals you will be eliminated (but you will keep your score up to that fence).
All competitors must walk over the bridge during the XC. Failure to do so will result in elimination!
CLASS 5 ARENA JUMPING: Assistance and encouragment from within the arena will be allowed.
THE FINAL DECISION IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE XC STEWARD ON THE DAY
SHOOTING:
New rule for 2018: It is mandatory to wear protective or prescription glasses if shooting from 7 metres, and it is recommended if shooting from 10 metres
Guns to be cased at all times until instructed by the shoot steward.
Guns to be carried by ADULTS and loaders to be over 18yrs old
SWIMMING:
Competitors to be able to swim 25 metres. Swim hats to be worn.
Flotation aids allowed in class 5 & 10 only.
Please state on entry form if outside lane required.
A lifeguard will be in attendance.
Please - No muddy shoes in the changing rooms.

From M3 jct. 3, take A322 to Woking. At next roundabout take 1st turning signposted A319 to Chobham. Take 1st exit on next roundabout, then turn right onto Chertsey Road A319. Bear left onto Old Chertsey Road. The field is about a mile on the left (it will be sign posted).
From M25 jct. 11, take the A320 signposted Woking. At roundabout turn left A320 to Woking. At next roundabout turn right onto A319 and IMMEDIATELY right onto Foxhills Road. At the T-junction turn left onto Stonehill Road. The field is approximately 2 miles on the right hand side.
GENERAL:
1.All competitors must be a member of the Pony Club.
2.No head cams allowed.
3.Correct riding attire to include hats to current Pony Club rules must be worn and fastened when mounted. Back protectors (with a BETA standard 3 at least 2009) are compulsory when on the course. No earrings/piercings or jewellery to be worn. If you have a skeleton key a spare must be left with the secretary.
4.Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or the Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
5.Health & Safety: The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health & safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards.
6.The judges decisions are final. Objections to be lodged by the team manager only, within 30 minutes of the competitor completing or posting of results.
7..Misuse of whips or spurs or blatant bad language will incur elimination.
8.Competitors may only use spurs with written permission from their D.C.
9.The organisers reserve the right to alter the timings and to retain £5 per entry in case of cancellation.
10.DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES and please clean up after them.
11.PLEASE TAKE ALL YOUR RUBBISH HOME AND DO NOT MUCK OUT TRAILERS OR LORRIES ON TO THE FIELD.
