QWhat is interpersonal violence?

AInterpersonal violence includes sexual assault, relationship violence, sexual harassment, stalking, and other forms of physical, mental, and emotional abuse.

QWhy would I want to talk to a peer supporter?

APeer support offers a low-pressure, empathetic, and confidential environment to explore options and resources. All IVPS members have been trained to understand and respond to these issues and are here to help however needed.

QHow do I schedule a meeting?

AThe IVPS webpage includes a form to schedule a meeting. After submitting, someone will reach out to coordinate a meeting time with you. We can also assist you over the phone or in person.

QSo… what are meetings like?

AMeetings take place in the IVPS office meeting room and are scheduled to last an hour (though you don’t have to use the full hour). You have control of the conversation. Whether you want a listening ear or more information about on and off-campus resources, we are here for you.
