If your ABTS certificate expires in 2015, you will need to do the following:

In 2015, Complete the 10 Year Milestone
Professionalism: Submit a copy of an unrestricted medical license and documentation of hospital privileges.
Submit letter(s) of reference documenting your level of clinical activity and stature within the surgical community from one or more responsible members on staff at your principle hospital.
Life-long Learning: Earn 150 AMA Category I CME between January 1, 2011 and the date of your application. Half of the CME (75 hours) needs to be in the broad category of Thoracic Surgery.
Cognitive Expertise: After your MOC application has been approved, take and pass a secured exam. You can take the exam in 2013, 2014 and/or 2015.
Practice Performance: Complete a case summary of your last 100 major cases and/or one year of cases.
Provide the name of the clinical outcome database that you use to improve your practice.
Submit four (4) evaluations from physicians familiar with your practice. / In 2020, Complete the 5 Year Milestone
Professionalism: Submit a copy of an unrestricted medical license and documentation of hospital privileges.
Submit letter(s) of reference documenting your level of clinical activity and stature within the surgical community from one or more responsible members on staff at your principle hospital.
Life-long Learning: Earn 150 AMA Category I CME between January 1, 2016 and the date of your application. Half of the CME (75 hours) needs to be in the broad category of Thoracic Surgery.
Cognitive Expertise: After your MOC application has been approved, take and complete SESATS in 2020. / In 2025, Complete the 10 Year Milestone
Professionalism: Submit a copy of an unrestricted medical license and documentation of hospital privileges.
Submit letter(s) of reference documenting your level of clinical activity and stature within the surgical community from one or more responsible members on staff at your principle hospital.
Life-long Learning: Earn 150 AMA Category I CME between January 1, 2021 and the date of your application. Half of the CME (75 hours) needs to be in the broad category of Thoracic Surgery.
Cognitive Expertise: After your MOC application has been approved, take and pass a secured exam. You can take the exam in 2023, 2024 and/or 2025.
