GAASA REFEREE CLINIC INSTRUCTIONS

Here are complete instructions for signing up for the private entry level referee class being sponsored by GAASA (MARCH 11TH):

  • Go to the GAASA web site ( and from the menu on the left side select the “Referee Clinic” tab. Once this opens go to the PayPal button to pay the $60 fee. This fee must be paid before you will receive the access code. Once you have made your payment or please send a confirmation email to to ensure you receive your access code promptly.
  • You will be given an access code.
  • You then sign on to the Ohio North SRC GameOfficials learning and registration system and create your free account.

The Game Officials site:

  • Using the access code, you will register for the private version of the required USSF Grade 8 referee online training class.

Find the class by going to “courses”, “referee courses” in the menu

Then register for “Private Novice entry class--GAASA”

  • You must complete all 17 Laws of the Game modules, and score 100% on the quiz at the end of each module. You may repeat any module as often as necessary to score 100% on the quiz.
  • After you complete each module, you must take and pass the Grade 8 entry level test online. This is an open-book test, and you may take it as often as necessary to pass. We will provide you with links to online material to help you pass the modules and the Grade 8 test.
  • The private GAASA 8-hour in-person final class will be held on March 11th at Pinnacle Soccer (313 Medina Rd/44256-this is Rt 18 between I-71 & I-77). You must be able to attend all eight hours of this class, make sure you do not have a playing or coaching conflict on that day.
  • At the class, you will be given information on how to get uniforms and other equipment, how contact the assignors to get games, and all
  • of the specific rules of competition unique to GAASA games in various age groups.

DEADLINES

The in-person class is on March 11 at Pinnacle, you must register with the league, pay your fee and start the online class no later than March 1.

You must complete the online material and register for the class at Pinnacle no later than Wednesday, March 8, no exceptions.
