APMA Coding Seminar Request Form

The APMA Coding Seminar addresses CPT, ICD-9, and HCPCS coding updates, correct coding convention, coding policies and guidelines, and coding issues/concerns specific to the practice of podiatric medicine and surgery. The following are some key considerations in determining your interest in hosting an APMA Coding Seminar as well as in setting the logistics for your event:

  • The hosting organization can choose from an array of coding-related PowerPoint presentations, tailoring the seminar to its member needs, or, alternatively, the hosting organization may select from two set coding programs developed by the APMA Coding Committee. A list of presentations is available upon request.
  • The hosting organization is obligated to cover all usual and customary speaker expenses (e.g., transportation, hotel, meals, parking, etc.), and honorarium, as outlined below; APMA will provide the speakers and the materials. Note that this is a change from previous years.
  • $750 for 3-4 hours of total lecture presentation time/ $1500 for 4-7.5 hours of total lecture presentation time(these are total figures per day, to be split among speakers if applicable)
  • As the hosting organization, keep in mind that the length of the seminar, as well as the number of speakers you desire, will impact your seminar budget. As such, you need to carefully consider the number of speakers, length of the seminar, and the location in terms of transportation accessibility, hotel costs, etc.
  • The hosting organization is obligated to cover all meeting room costs, as well as marketing the APMA Coding Seminar to its members.
  • We recommend that the hosting organization schedule 3-4 hours for the APMA Coding Seminar, so that there is adequate time to convey meaningful information to the attendees.
