Recruiter

Job Summary: Responsible for the strategic sourcing, recruitment alignment and execution to meet the needs of the organization. This includes responsibility for diversity, talent acquisition, college recruiting, and market intelligence. Recruit, screen, interview and make selection decisions regarding qualified candidates for various temporary, non-exempt, exempt and executive level positions in a high volume and fast paced work environment. Perform a variety of recruitment related activities involved in staffing and on-boarding new employees in accordance with Company policy and procedures as well as applicable regulatory and legal standards of employment. Responsible for all aspects of the recruitment processes, polices, recruitment programs or initiatives, and project management. Serves as the key contact for candidates, hiring management, vendors and other customers on all recruitment service related needs. Essential job duties and responsibilities include:

Manage and process requisitions for staffing utilizing electronic requisition software. Manage candidate flow on a day-to-day basis. Review online employment applications to pre-screen for qualifications. Forward applicable candidate information to hiring supervisor/ manager for review. Conduct routine employment interviews ensuring that all recruiting practices comply with applicable employment laws and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and American with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines. Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring supervisor/managers. Arrange for travel/lodging and reimbursement for selected applicants (if applicable).

Work with hiring supervisor/manager and other human capital staff to strategically source, employ recruitment alignments and execute to meet the needs of the organization. Assist hiring manager and compensation in developing or updating an appropriate job description (JD). Make recommendations, develop, and place recruitment ads online or in print media. Determine information and content to include in postings and in advertisements.

Recommend candidates based upon qualifications. Conduct employment history reference checks. Communicate and/or extend offers of employment. Process and assign all required documentation to include interview and reference documentation, rejection letters, and offers of employment. Prepare and maintain various employment related reports and information.

Develop and manage candidate relationships by communicating and responding with potential candidates and current applicants in a timely manner while providing good customer service. Explain the job duties/responsibilities and the application process. Gather job related information from the candidate.

Develop and maintain relationships with college placement personnel, trade schools, vocational schools, high schools, contingent labor suppliers, minority, veteran, and disabled programs and services etc. to facilitate applicant flow. Use internet sourcing and employee referral program to attract qualified candidates. Coordinate and participate in career fairs and alternative sources of applicants to fill open positions in a timely and cost effective manner.

Assist in facilitating the new-hire process and oversee background checks, pre-employment drug testing and licensure requirements and ensure the appropriate and timely processing of new-hire paperwork and orientation.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or other related field

Minimum of 2 years similar or related work experience required. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered. Recruitment experience within a Human Capital environment preferred.

Knowledge of basic employment laws.Knowledge of human resources principles, practices and procedures.Experience with recruitment techniques and employment policies and procedures including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) regulations.

Ability to accurately manage reports and correspondence.

Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; must be able to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing situations; ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of assertiveness in performing responsibilities and in making decisions; strong organization and time management skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines; ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding applicant/employee information; ability to work independently as well as part of a team and strong public speaking and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recruitment experience within a Human Capital environment preferred

PHR Certification

Experience utilizing behavioral based interviewing techniques

Experience working with an applicant tracking system and experience utilizing job boards

Negotiation skills
