LEASE OF FARM LAND ON A CASH BASIS

Sealed envelopes marked "PROPOSAL FOR LEASE OF FARM LAND" will be received at the City of Dauphin100 Main Street South, Dauphin, Manitoba until 12:00 noonon Friday, March 9, 2018 for the lease of farmland located in the NE ¼ 23-25-19wpm, specifically:

NE ¼ 23-25-19 wpm except the most Nly 1,320 feet in perp depth and except Road Plan 2067

Parcel Size: 62.5 acres Seed & Harvest Land

The terms and conditions of the usage of the landwill be outlined in detail in the “lease agreement” and include the following terms and conditions:

Lease of the said land(s) shall be on a cash rent basis only and shall be for a term of three (3) years, commencing April 1, 2018, and ending on December 31, 2020.

The Municipality will issue a new Request for Proposal (RFP) for the farm land at the end of the three (3) year lease.

This lease will be solely for the use by the Tenant, not to be assigned, sublet, or occupied by anyone other than the Tenant without prior written consent from the Municipality.

The Tenant will be responsible for any costs associated with farming the lands, with the exception of property taxes.

The Tenant shall cultivate, seed, control weeds, insects and disease and harvest crops on the land in a responsible manner.

Continuous cropping is allowed.

This land is to be leased on an “as is” basis. There are no warranties offered or implied on the condition of the property.

Payment schedule for leasing the farm land is as follows:

The 2018 total lease amount will be required upon the signing of the Lease Agreement.

All subsequent years, payments shall be received by April 1st of each year. If payment is not received by April 1st, the lease shall automatically terminate by April 15 for non-payment.

The Municipality reserves the right to accept any Proposal submitted in whole or in part or to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any irregularities.
