HIGH MAST FLOODLIGHTING AND STREETLIGHTING AT MISGUND, LOUTERWATER, KRAKEEL, JOUBERTINA, KAREEDOUW AND TSITSIKAMMA AREAS

Koukamma Municipality invites tenders for the supply, installation and commissioning of approximately eight (8) high mast floodlights and repairs to existing streetlights at the abovementioned areas.

It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 4EP or higher and must be registered on Eskom’s database as approved service providers.

The physical address for collection of tender documents is the Municipal Offices, Cashiers at 5 Keet Street, Kareedouw, 6400.

Documents may be collected during working hours from 08 May 2014.

A non-refundable tender deposit of R300-00 payable in cash or by bank guaranteed cheque made out in favour of the Koukamma Municipality is required on collection of the tender documents.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representatives of the Employer will be held on Wednesday, 14 May 2014 at 10h00, commencing at the municipal offices in Kareedouw. Tender documents must be purchased prior to this meeting and must be brought along to the meeting. No tender documents will be sold after the clarification meeting. Tenderers must sign the Attendance List in the name of the tendering entity and also have the Certificate of Tenderer’s Attendance in the original tender document signed by the Employer’s representative at the meeting. Tenders will be considered only from those tendering entities appearing on the Attendance List and who’s Certificates of Tenderer’s Attendance has been signed.

The closing time for receipt of tenders is 12h00 on Wednesday, 21 May 2014. Tenders must be sealed in an envelope clearly marked with the tender number and title given above, and placed in the tender box at the Municipal Offices before the closing date and time. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, e-mail and late tenders will not be accepted.

Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.

Bids will be evaluated according to the 90/10 points system. The bids are subject to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act 2000, the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2011 and Council Preferential Procurement Strategy adopted in terms of Section 2 of the Act.
