Prior to your super user/ go live date you need to do the 40 minute On-line Training Course

Enter YOUR User Name: for example JDoe

Enter YOUR Password: for example JDrumcsi2012

Select: Nursing Education

Select your department (Critical Care, Emergency Room or Maternal Child)

Click on Link:Healthstream Nihon Kohden Online Learning (

  1. Choose your State and Facility and Click NEXT
  2. Register for Course: Click on first time students click here to register
  3. Complete required fields and Click on SUBMIT button
  4. If already registered- log in using your user name and password, click Login
  5. Click on INSERVICE CENTER tab
  6. Select Nihon Kohden Patient Monitoring Overview
  7. ClickENROLL in this Course
  8. Click on Patient Monitoring under Learning Activity, to launch course.
  9. If you get a pop up blocking it Click OK. Go to yellow warning bar across top of the box and Click it. Select Temporarily allow Pop ups.
  10. Click either Launch Course or Click Here option.
  11. Follow on screen directions. Make sure you have SOUND.
  12. Start your interview by answering the 5 questions as per the directions stated by your department.

Will you work with a Wireless telemetry? / YES
Will you perform bedside monitoring? / YES
Will you perform invasive pressure or hemodynamic monitoring? / YES

  1. Once you have completed the course and EXIT left bottom, you will return to the Course Details page. Click EVALUATIONand complete the course evaluation and SUBMIT.
  2. Once the course and the evaluation are completed, then click on View Certificate of Completion,to view certificate and to Print Certificate. PLEASE PRINT Out 2 Certificates. Submit certificate to your Nurse Manager or Nurse Educator.

Capnography Monitoring Self Study

  1. Part 2: Please Print out Capnography Monitoring with CapOne CO2 Sensor Self Study Packet. (found on the site under you department area).
  2. Complete Self Study Packet.
  3. Then take post test. You need to re-enter Healthstream Nihon Kohden Online LearningLink
  4. Choose your State and Facility and Click NEXT
  5. If already registered- log in using your name and password, click LOGIN
  6. Click INSERVICE CENTER tab
  7. Select Nihon Kohden: Capnography Monitoring with the CapONE CO2 Sensor Self Study Packet.
  8. Click ENROLL in this Course
  9. Click on Capnography Monitoring with the CapONE CO2 Sensor Self Study Packet under Learning Activity, to launch course. (You could print the pdf at this time if not done so already.X out to get out of this box.)
  10. Select Continue
  11. Click POST TEST
  12. Answer the 8 questions and select SUBMIT.
  13. Click Return to Course Details
  14. Click VIEW YOUR CERTIFICATE of COMPLETION
  15. Please Print out 2 certificates. Submit certificate to your Nurse Manager or Nurse Educator.
  16. Log Out
