Our network has a uniquely global reach, with members working in more than 140 countries with a wide range of specialisms.We help members share their skills and learn from each other’sbest practice to boost effectiveness across the sector.

NIDOS is seeking to recruit an Administration Assistant to support the day-to-day running of the organisation and in particular the effectiveness programme.

Job Description

Administration Assistant

Line manager: Chief Executive

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £15,015 per annum (fixed term 1 August 2016 – 31 January 2017)

Location:Office based in Edinburgh with some travel within Scotland

Purpose of Job:

To support NIDOS Effectiveness Programme which works with member organisations to strengthen their organisations’ effectiveness, transparency and impact. To support in the general running of NIDOS, in particular supporting the Chief Executive in carrying out the business of the charity.

Responsibilities:

Effectiveness:

  • Support the organisation and administration of NIDOS events andtraining programmes
  • Maintain records of activities

General Administration:

  • Assist with the administration and maintenance of NIDOS’ information databases
  • Assist with responding to enquiries from members, key stakeholders and general public.
  • Support the Chief Executive in the organisation and administration of NIDOS annual conference and AGM
  • Support the NIDOS team to ensure the smooth running of all NIDOS activities

Attend NIDOS Board meetings, team meetings, AGM and staff training as required.
