- League requires one person on sideline to be CPR certified.
- We just held class in March and had 8 coaches attend
- We would like to hold a class in the fall, but we need to understand interest. Please reach out to Tim, Matt of Frank to let them know if you are interested.
- All Coaches –
- Rules and guidelines for coaches are posted on the LaGrange website (under forms) and EHYSL (game operating procedures).
- All players should play at least half a game
- Coaches should check the field prior to game. Goals should be anchored down properly
- Do not let players hang on goals
- Substitutions – all substitutions must take place at center mark and with the referee’s permission.
- All players must play at least 50% of a game unless you are playing division 1 travel. (there are only 8 teams within the club playing at a division 1 or premier level). If you are not sure if this rule pertains to you, reach out to your travel director for clarification.
- Coaches should remain in the technical area (1 yard either side of the bench area and up to 1 yard from the touch line).
- Corner flags must be put away after match. Coaches are responsible for making sure this occurs
- Injury policy
- No dogs allowed at Stringham. The town has informed us they will be enforcing this in the spring. Please inform your parents.
- Practice Schedules – You will be assigned the same practice schedule you had in the fall unless you request a change. Victor Soto will provide field information in case any changes were made to fields.
- Intramurals –
- New players were added to the rosters, please check your roster in SI play.

- Travel Referee checks:
- 1 check per team to be provided equal to the value of total referee needs for Spring Season
- Check will be made payable to person designated by team (each team must send Treasurer the name)
- Each team will be responsible for using these funds to pay the referees. Copies of EDP / EHYSL referee schedules available for reference and use.
- Unused funds must be returned at the end of the season (cancelled games, "no show" assistant refs)
- Travel tryouts –
- Tryouts should occur during your scheduled practices.
- 2 – 3 tryout dates are recommended.
- We would like tryouts to occur between 4/30 and 5/11. Please provide Tim or Matt your tryout dates so we can post to our website and social media pages.
- Teams are not required to hold a tryout.
- Travel Registration –
- Notify Christine of any player changes
- You can use the club pass form when players within the club meet the guidelines for playing in EHYSL games
- Make sure medical forms are up to date
- Guest players can be used in tournaments but please become familiar with documentation required and plan accordingly.
- Game scores –
- All games scores should be posted per your league requirements. For East Hudson the requirement is enter the score using your id and password. Scores must be entered Sunday night or by noon on Monday. Failure to do so will result in a $5 fine which the team will be responsible for. These fines are assessed by EHYSL, not by LSC.
- Special needs soccer –
- We need two teams to volunteer each week with the special needs soccer program.
- We do ask that the coaches support as well.
