The AIT must be able to trouble shoot and repair irrigation leaks, electricalproblems and communication errors. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of an automatic irrigation system including programming and operating by means of central control, and satellite. Have knowledge in calibration of sprayers and able to get pesticide applicators license within 90 days of hire. They will be able to keepan accurate inventory of irrigation supplies along with fertilizer and pesticides. This position requires an individual to a flexible schedule with average work weeks ranging from 40-60 hours/ week. During tournament weeks and course aerification weeks, hours will be longer. This position would be ideal for a recent graduate of a turfgrass program or a student who will be graduating this fall or spring semester. This position will help to prepare an individual who wishes to advance in the turfgrass industry.

This is a low budget course and will allow the ideal candidate to work in all aspects of the golf course industry and gain valuable knowledge and experience to be successful in reaching your goal as a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position starts the 1st of March and lasts through end of October. Golf course will help applicant find winter work in town or at the local ski resort.

Pay for the position is $10-$12/hr DOE
