3. Learn of novel ideas in nutrition related to the prevention of obesity.

4. Discuss the impact of bariatric surgery on fertility, pregnancy and lactation.

5. Identify regional preconception health strategies addressing childhood obesity on a state and regional level.

6. Understand the issues surrounding perinatal health indices including prematurity in the Hudson Valley region and New York State.
