DCIU STARS (Sharing Talent and Recognizing Service)

November, 2010

Emilia King (nominated by Sheila Blake Butler and TCA Staff and Students)

Kudos to Emilia, for a job well done! The County Alternative High School commends her and her staff for the awesome, more nutritional lunches that she so thoroughly prepares for them each day. In the past there were lots of complaints about the lunches, but thanks to Emilia, not anymore. Some of the favorites from the new and improved lunch menu include: turkey clubs and bacon cheeseburgers on a whole wheat roll; meatball sandwiches; hot and spicy chicken and baked chicken. Each entrée is served with fresh fruit or a side salad, baby carrots, a bag of chips along with a choice of chocolate or white milk. The quality of the lunches has improved tremendously. TCA staff and students really enjoy the lunches and appreciate Emilia’s efforts to improve them. So, thanks a bunch, Emilia, for a job well done; the difference is noticed and tasted.
