Sauce Requirements

1.  Minimum of 2 gallons of spaghetti sauce must be provided for judging and dinner.

2.  Sauce must be a tomato base.

3.  Prepared sauce must be brought to Shoemaker Elementary School cafeteria by 4:45 pm

4.  A heat source must be brought to keep the sauce hot (crock pot)

5.  Sauce must be cooked from scratch, starting with tomato base (fresh or canned), raw beef, sausage, or turkey (no wild game meat). Vegetarian or Meat sauces may be entered. Commercial seasonings and tomato products are allowed. “Just add meat” mixes and prepared sauces are not allowed.

6.  Each entry must supply all ingredients (submit copy with your entry below, utensils and accessories necessary to serve their spaghetti sauce. (small tasting cups will be provided by the Pasta Night committee)

7.  Sauce will be tasted, then eaten by the attendees only after chef and judge’s tastes have been collected.

8.  Care must be taken to prepare food in a clean and sanitary fashion.
