1998 –1999: Research Executive and Administrator at the memorial site of the former Concentration Camp Flossenbürg. Established the Research and Documentation Centre under the supervision of the Bavarian Ministry of Education and Culture (in co-operation with the Cultural Scientist Jörg Skriebeleit).

Since 2000 Organizer (with Tilo Schabert) of the interdisciplinary and intercivilizational Eranos-conferences in Ascona/Switzerland.
