Seven Hills Weekly Newsletter

After-school activities are an exciting option for students to continue their academic studies, explore other areas, and enhance social skills. The US Department of Education found in a study that after-school activities lead to increased learning, improved health, exposure to career choices, and other benefits. We offer a wide range of after-school activities such as our Village program, Karate, Stomp, Club Invention, and our musical “Willy Wonka.” With the exception of the Village program, these activities are free and a great way for students to be creative, problem-solve, build self-confidence, and strengthen social skills.

Inthe age of computer games, it is important toexpose our students to a variety of educational programs to prepare them assuccessful, well-rounded, leaders. If you have any ideas or would like to lead these activities, we would love to have your input. We also recognize that these activities are not just offered at Seven Hills. For instance, we shared in the thrill and celebration of the Worcester Vikings JR Pee-Wee Football Team’s success this past fall. In essence, it is all about helping our students reach for the stars. Best wishes, Mr. Yung, Principal

POSTCARDS FROM THE PANTHER

Our beloved Seven Hills mascot is traveling throughout the world! Each week this month, he’ll send us a postcard from a different country. Find the clues in the postcards to try and guess where he is!

Dear SHCPS!

Hi Seven Hills Students! I am in a place located in the Caribbean Sea almost 1000 miles from Miami. One of the historical landmarks is the Antonio Lopez, a shipwreck. Another one is Caguana, it represents the largest and most complex court ceremonial site. This country is the home of the famous and delicious coconuts. The national sport is baseball. The religion is mostly Catholic. The climate is tropical and reaches about 72 degrees on average. I’m close to home!! See you soon.

Your friend,

Panther
