School officials have the responsibility to schedule performances and activities that will fit into these guidelines. Teams must re-enter the field at the end of the halftime. If bands or other groups are finishing their performance, the teams are to remain in the ten-yard end zone until the performance ends or the three minute warm-up period expires. At the end of the three minute warm-up, the field must be cleared and the game resumed.
Postponement of Games
1. Do not postpone except in very extreme situations. All postponed games must be rescheduled.
2. Postponement must follow discussions by both schools' athletic directors (or their designee) and the conference coordinator.
3. The final decision to postpone a football game in extreme conditions rests with the host school Athletic Director or designee.
Chain Gang:
The home team will assign three (3) responsible adults to handle the down box and chains. A fourth (4th) person will be assigned to handle the yard line clip. The crew is to conduct their duties in a professional manner and not interfere with coaches and players on either team.
Game Ball:
Each team will be responsible to provide their own ball and ball persons. Teams must use an official size and weight ball.
Field Control:
A safety zone of five yards is to be maintained around the football field. The only people within that zone should be the chain crew, ball people, officials and teams.
Film Exchange:
If teams choose to use the online film exchange, video uploading must start by 11 pm the evening of the game and a coaching staff member must stay at school to make sure upload is completed. If the upload fails, teams need to exchange film by 9 am the next day. The exchange copy will be the press box angle with all 22 players reasonably on screen.
Filming Games:
Video, 8mm, and 16mm cameras are not to be used at the games unless approved by the Athletic Director.
Scouting
The scouting of scrimmages of the first opponent is permitted.
Sophomore and Junior Varsity Games
The Junior Varsity games will be played on Saturday morning, sophomore games will be played on Thursdays except when these games fall on approved South Suburban Conference “no play” dates. The sophomore team will consist of sophomores (and/or under) only.
The members of the starting offensive and defensive units of the varsity squad for the current week will not participate in junior varsity games.
Sophomores may play in junior varsity games ONLY if needed to field a team in order to complete the junior varsity schedule. This should be upon mutual agreement.
Playing time for sophomore and junior varsity games shall be four (4) 12 minute quarters, stopped time. Ties will be played off per federation rules.

SOUTH SUBURBAN CONFERENCE AWARDS
Conference Champion
The team with fewest number of conference losses will be the conference champion. No tie-breaker will be used to split ties for the conference champion.
All-Conference
Coaches will select one team of 42 All-Conference and 42 Honorable Mention selections as established by South Suburban Conference Policies. Beginning in 2013, there will be a pool of 6 at large all-conference selections to be decided on by a vote of the coaches. Also beginning in 2013, each team will be given an additional Honorable Mention Selection (the numbers below reflect this change).
All-Conference Honorable Mention
Finish Selections Selections Total
1 7 6 13
2 6 6 12
3 5 5 10
4 5 5 10
5 4 5 9
6 4 5 9
7 3 5 8
8 3 5 8
9 3 5 8
10 2 5 7
Distribution of All-Conference Selections - When two teams are tied, head to head competition will be considered first. If the two teams did not play, a coin flip will be used to determine which team receives the higher number of All-Conference selections. When the total number of All-Conference and Honorable Mention selections is the same or a difference of one (i.e. 6th and 7th place, 1st and 2nd place), no adjustments will be made in the number of Honorable Mention selections. When the difference in total selections is two (i.e. 2nd and 3rd place), the team that loses the coin flip will receive one of the winning coin flip team’s Honorable Mention selections.
In the case of three teams tying, head to head competition will be considered first. If one team has defeated both opponents, they will receive the highest allotment, minus one Honorable Mention selection. The remaining teams will then have a coin flip, with the loser of the coin flip gaining the additional Honorable Mention selection. If none of the tied teams has defeated both of the other teams, the selections will be pooled and the coaches involved will come to mutual agreement on an equitable disbursement of the selections.
PUBLICITY
The home team will furnish official scores and will be responsible for reporting the results of the game to the various news media.
