Interim Director of Supplemental Instruction, Houston Community College, District 2016-2017

·  Developed Supplemental Instruction Program based on the University of Missouri, Kansas City model; Created SI Leader Manual and other training materials for SI Leaders, faculty and coordinators. Planned and held multiple training sessions for SI Leaders, faculty, and coordinators in Fall 2016, and Spring 2017. Partnered with deans, chairs, associate chairs, and faculty in recruitment efforts. Recruited, interviewed, and hired 11 SI Leaders in Fall, 2016, and 23 SI Leaders in Spring 2017. Observed SI sessions, and evaluated SI Leaders and provided feedback for quality control, and improvement of program. Created a Data and Assessment Evaluation Plan to determine the effectiveness of the SI Program.

Dean of Academic Development, Houston Community College, Southeast 2010-2015

·  Provided leadership, vision, motivation, coordination, and support to the Associate Dean of Instruction, 6 Academic Division Chairs, 1 Library Director, 4 Program Directors, eighty-five full-time, and more than two hundred adjunct faculty; Facilitated the development, delivery, and evaluation of all college academic programs, and initiatives; Supported and helped expand a Tutoring Assistance Center, and a Writing Center; Ensured adoption and commitment to the new core curriculum skills as defined by the THECB, and ensured instructional programs provide the knowledge and skills necessary for student success, in compliance with the THECB and SACS; Developed and supported programs to help at risk and underprepared students; Participated in business and strategic planning and design of new learning facilities and resources.
