Admissions under Gulf NRI (Children Of Indian workers in the Gulf countries) Students:

Last date for submission of Application Request Form under Children of Gulf NRI quota is 5th June 2015.

Definition:

* Children of Indian workers in the Gulf Countries: The children of an Indian who is working in Gulf Countries under relevant working visa.

The AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) has approved Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management (formerly Shri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College) , Nagpur vide its letter dated: 23/09/2004 and there after extended permission every year for admitting students having status of Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin / Children of Indian workers in the Gulf Countries under 15% supernumerary quota in the following branches:

The Government of Maharashtra State as per their resolution number TEM-2004/(515/04)/T.E.-1 Dated 29th November 2004 & furtherevery year approved Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management (formerly Shri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College) for admissions to Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin / Children of Indian workers in the Gulf Countries under 15% supernumerary quota for the above said courses.

Rules for admission under Gulf-NRI quota:

* If any seats available for Foreign Nationals / Foreign Students / Persons of Indian Origin /Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries remain vacant due to non-availability of eligible candidates for these seats, such vacant seats shall be kept vacant. Under any condition these seats shall not be offered to any other candidates.

* 1/3rd of the 15 % seats shall be reserved for children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries and 2/3rd of the 15 % seats shall be reserved for the PIO / Foreign Nationals etc. However any vacant seats out of 1/3 category shall be reverted to the quota of 2/3meant for PIO/FN.

* As per the orders of Hon’ble High Court of Bombay, these seats can be filled by the institutes only after the institute is certified by the AICTE to the effect that the institute has infrastructure facilities for making the admissions against the over and above the sanctioned intake seats for Foreign Nationals, Foreign Students, PIOs and children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries. In the event of non-availability of Foreign Nationals, Foreign Students, PIOs and children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries, these seats can not be filled from any other candidates.

Eligibility criteria for Gulf-NRI candidates:

Admissions to First Year B.E.: Candidate should have passed the HSSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together (As per the directive No. Misc-2011/PK337/T.E-4 dated 31st October 2012 of Higher and Technical Education Department, Govt. of Maharashtra, Mumbai.

* The eligibility of the candidates passing the HSSC (Std. XII) equivalent examination from a school/college/Examination Board situate outside India shall be further decided by the University Authorities to which the candidate is admitted.

* The candidate belonging to this type is not required to appear for the JEE (Main).

Fees & Expenses:

Following is the per year fee charged to the candidates belonging to the category of Children of Indian workers in Gulf Countries who will be admitted to four year degree course in the Engineering/Technology for academic year 2015-16 :

Hostel Charges / Approximate Lodging and Boarding charges for boys and girls hostel are as mentioned below excluding mess advance of INR 20000 :

In addition to the above fees student has to pay INR 10000/- as refundable Caution Money Deposit (Refundable)

Note:

i)Eligibility Certificate : can be obtained from RTMNU, even before the provisional admissions after submitting the application in the prescribed form along with the fee (not applicable in case the candidate is passing Class XII examinations from Maharashtra State Board).

ii)NoobjectionCertificate (only for Foreign National/PIO students): After getting the eligibility certificate from the RTM Nagpur University, the candidate is required to contact the Foreign Student Advisor of RTM Nagpur University for getting NOC.

iii) In case, the result of “A” level / XII / equivalent examination is awaited, the candidate can submit the Admission Request Form for provisional admission. However, they are required to submit the “A” level / XII or equivalent examination certificate at the time of confirmation of admission.

iv) Admission in Hostel, if needed, may be taken at the time of confirmation of admission. 5 rooms in Girls hostel and 25 rooms in Boys hostel have been reserved for FN/PIO/GULF/NRI students

  1. Admission request form (ARF) provided on our website.
  2. HSSC/XII Marks Sheet / “A” Level or equivalent certificate examination passed / appeared with English, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as essential subjects.
  3. SSC/X Marks sheet /“O” level certificate or equivalent certificate.
  4. School / College Leaving / Transfer Certificate.
  5. Migration Certificate
  6. Nationality Certificate / Citizenship Certificate.
  7. VISA (Either working / business) of NRI / Guardian of NRI.
  8. Employer Certificate or Salary Certificate of NRI.
  9. Passport copy of NRI / Guardian of NRI.
  10. Affidavit of Guardian of NRI (Original). Format copy can be obtained by writing a request e-mail
  11. Affidavit of Parents of NRI if Guardian is appointed (Original). Format copy can be obtained by writing a request e-mail
  12. Transcripts, if any (applicable for Foreign Students)
  13. NOC From RTM, Nagpur University (applicable for Foreign Nationals / PIO / Gulf NRI candidates)
