Scoring:

1.  In ladies’ singles – game is 11 points.

2.  In men’s’ singles – game is 15 or 21 points.

3.  In doubles – game is 15 or 21 points.

Our games are played to 11 and you need to win by 2 points.

The Game:

1.  Points may be scored by the server only. A player continues to serve until losing the rally.

2.  When the server fails to score, he loses the serve and no points are scored. The opposing side then has a chance to serve and score.

3.  In singles, players serve from and receive in the right service court when the server’s score is 0 or an even number. When the server’s score is an odd number of points, players serve from and receive in the left service court.

4.  If a player attempting a serve misses the shuttle completely, she may have another attempt to serve again.

5.  Shuttles falling on a line are good. On the serve, server’s feet must be within the service court.

6.  When any unusual occurrence interferes with the play a let (replay) can be invoked.

It is a Fault:

1.  If on the serve, the head/face of the racket is above the wrist on contact with the shuttle.

2.  If on the serve, the racket is above the server’s waist.

3.  If on the serve, the shuttle fails to fall into the proper service court.

4.  If on the serve, the server’s feet and receiver’s feet are not stationary in their proper courts.

5.  If a player hits the shuttle before it crosses the net.

6.  If the shuttle is not distinctly hit: rest momentarily on the string and is carried.

7.  If any player hits the shuttle twice before it crosses the net or is hit by a player and his partner successively.
