Basler Electric Company is a government contractor subject to Federal legislation, executive orders, and Department of Labor and Office of Federal Contract Compliance programs, rules and regulations dealing with Equal Employment opportunities; and P.L. 95-507 pertaining to our responsibilities regarding procurement from small and small-disadvantaged businesses. As a government contractor, Basler Electric is obligated by law to obtain from its suppliers/subcontractors certain certification. We have elected to fulfill our obligation by obtaining an annual certification from each supplier/subcontractor rather than obtaining individual certifications with each contract or purchase order. An appropriate certification form is attached that is intended to be effective for calendar year . Please execute the attached form and e-mail it to within 30 days. If it is necessary to strike any provision of items 1-6 below as not applicable to your business given the monetary thresholds and/or number of people employed by your company, please do so below, initialing each item stricken, and forward this sheet along with the signed certification form. The executed forms will be kept as required by law.
1. Certification of compliance with the Equal Opportunity Clause set forth in Section 202 of Executive Order 11246 if the contract exceeds $10,000 in any year.
2. Certification of non-segregated facilities for its employees if the contract exceeds $10,000 in any one year (41 CFR 60-1.8 (b))
3. Certification of the filing of annual reports on Standard Form (EEO-1) if the value of the contract or purchase order exceeds $50,000 and the subcontractor employs 50 or more people (Public Law 88-352).
4. Certification of the development and maintenance of a written and signed Affirmative Action Program at each of the subcontractor’s facilities if the value of the contract or purchase order exceeds $50,000 and if the subcontractor employs 50 or more people (41 CFR 60-1.4 and 60-2).
5. Agreement to comply with the Affirmative Action Clause relating to the employment of veterans if the value of the contract or purchase order is for $10,000 or more (41 CFR 60-250.4).
6. Agreement to comply with the Affirmative Action Clause relating to the employment of handicapped persons if the value of the contract or purchase order is for $25,000 or more (41 CFR 60-741.4).
7. Basler is also subject to the provisions of P.L. 95-507 pertaining to small business concerns, small business concerns owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, as well as Executive Order 12138 pertaining to women-owned businesses. Therefore, it is necessary to identify all of our suppliers as to their business status.
