Non-bargaining Salary Differentials

Listed below are the approved Non-bargaining salary differentials for School Based Administrators and EAP staff:

1. Twelve hundred dollar ($1,200) annual differentials are provided to each school or department level Bargaining Team member.

2. Administrators whose assignments have been identified as unique, difficult, and/or unusual may receive, at the discretion of the superintendent, a differential of up to $1,200 annually. A Non-bargaining Criteria Sheet must be submitted for each request.

3. When administrators are required to be present during the use of a school board facility by an outside agency on administrative holidays or weekends, and the agencies are charged for the service, the affected administrators shall be reimbursed at a rate of $25.00 per hour.

4. If no other employee volunteer is available, a twelve-month school-based administrator is eligible for differential pay at the rate of $25.00 per hour for teaching in the Hospital/Homebound program.

5. If no other employee volunteer is available, a School Psychologist is eligible for an athletic differential as defined on the teachers’ supplemental salary schedule.

6. School Psychologists providing student educational evaluations outside of normal work hours will be paid on a per case basis at the rate of $200.00 per evaluation.

7. Principals of schools housing the Adult/Community Education Program and/or supervising it are eligible for a differential of $1,500 per year.

8. When it is necessary to eliminate a SACS deficiency in a particular school, an adjustment of $1.00 above the annual amount required would be paid to an eligible principal for any academic year for which the deficiency exists. This adjustment shall be deemed a differential and shall terminate immediately upon any change in the basis for its provision. This adjustment shall not be included in the recipient’s base salary for calculation relative to any salary increase or promotion.

9. Degree differentials for administrators holding doctoral degrees or specialist degrees were reinstated effective September 24, 2001. These differentials will be the same as those defined on the teachers’ salary schedule. Administrators for whom the value of their degree differential was included in their base pay when this differential was discontinued in 1997 are not eligible for an additional degree differential.

Note: Differentials are not included in base pay and are not subject to the limitations on earnings due to pay grade maximums.
