Initial Contract Period / July start until 30th June 2018 with 2x12 months extension optionsServices/Work Required / The services will include and not be limited to:
· Providing Wintel and VMware Infrastructure operations expertise and assistance to the Department for one or more of the following Core competencies:
o Windows Server Operating Systems;
o Active Directory;
o Microsoft SCCM;
o Microsoft Hyper-V and VMM;
o Microsoft SCOM;
o Microsoft SQL;
o Microsoft File and Print;
o VMware vSphere;
o VMware vRealize Suite;
o Microsoft Azure;
· Working with Project Managers to define and schedule deliverables;
· Documenting Wintel and VMware solution options for the Department, key design decisions and solution architecture;
· Contributing to the development of the overall IT Enterprise level architecture plans;
· Ensuring all projects are delivered in line with the Department’s architecture plan;
· Liaising regularly with project stakeholders, as necessary;
· Providing technical leadership;
· Consulting with technical teams working on projects to ensure alignment with departmental principles and road maps;
· Status reporting to Section Manager.
Documentation / Specified Personnel will be required to deliver the following documentation in conjunction with the Departments ICT release framework:
· As Built Guides;
· Disaster Recovery Plans;
· Standard Operating Procedures;
· Detailed BAU tasks on request;
· Change Requests as required;
· Operational strategies and plans aligned with broader section requirements as required.
Selection Criteria

· Industry experience with one or more of the following technologies:
o Windows Server Operating Systems;
o Active Directory;
o Microsoft SCCM;
o Microsoft Hyper-V and VMM;
o Microsoft SCOM;
o Microsoft File and Print;
o VMware vSphere;
o VMware vRealize Suite; and
o Microsoft Azur;
· Minimum 3 years operational experience;
· Experience in operating IT solutions for large, integrated government agencies or private organisations;
· Ability to work autonomously, and within a team environment;
· Proven ability to work within a structured IT governance framework and deliver results that adhere to relevant Commonwealth standards and policies;
· Good communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information effectively to both IT and business audiences;
· Specified Personnel must hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA) or be willing to undergo and obtain an AGSVA clearance (Baseline clearance as a minimum);
· Specified Personnel must be willing to undergo and obtain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC);
Desirable Criteria:
· Relevant tertiary education or industry certifications;
Security Clearance / DIBP expects the Specified Personnel to adhere to current departmental security instructions.
Security Clearance:-
DIBP requires all specified personnel to have a minimum BASELINE security clearance prior to commencement unless otherwise specified.
Note: The Contractor will be required to meet the cost of any security clearances that are required.
Employment Suitability Screening:-
DIBP requires all specified personnel to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance.
