Dear 4-H Leader Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in becoming a 4-H Leader in the WSU Whitman County Extension 4-H Youth Development Program. The 4-H adult volunteer program is open to all interested people 18 years or older. This is an opportunity for you to increase your leadership, youth development, organizational and personal development knowledge and skills. The primary focus of 4-H is educational, working with youth and families to build skills for a lifetime.

Please read the enclosed information regarding 4-H and leader training. Complete the forms in the attached packet and return to the WSU Whitman County Extension office (310 N. Main, Room 209, Colfax, WA 99111) or bring them with you to the next 4-H Volunteer Leader Training. The necessary forms are:

Ø  WSU 4-H Volunteer Application Form Parts A & B

Ø  A Valuable Partnership Form

Ø  Request to Use the 4-H Name and Emblem (if starting a new club)

Please enter the building through the door that opens into the parking lot. For security purposes, the door that opens onto Main Street will be locked.

Prior to the training, please complete the four e-learning modules for 4-H volunteers at http://extension.wsu.edu/4h Click on ‘For Volunteers’ (left side bar), click on ‘Volunteer Training’ (left side bar), in ‘Volunteer E-Learning Modules’ (main body), click on the link to take you to the training. The password is ‘volunteer’. At the end of each module, type Whitman in the county section and a record of your completion will be sent to our office.
