School Climate Improvement

School budgets continue to be cut, and school staffing reduced. Yet, schools are obligated to provide safe and appropriate learning environments.

Below are links to several possible new ways to acquire funding for school climate improvement, prevention of bullying, and other ways to keep schools free of violence and mistreatment.

Some of these require partnering with other schools/organizations. Some of them require information that we can provide, upon request, and we would be quite willing to assist in that way.

84.184E Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS)

The REMS grant can be used to fund bullying/violence prevention trainings/programming, if they include Staff Development.

The other grants, below, may be used for prevention programming focused on students or adults, including Parent Education, Staff Development, and perhaps other programs and services we offer as well.

$650 million Investing in Innovation Fund (i3). The i3 grants are part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), to be awarded in three categories:

Scale-up Grants: The largest possible grant category is focused on programs and practices with the potential to reach hundreds of thousands of students. Applicants must have a strong base of evidence that their program has had a significant effect on improving student achievement.
