ITINERARY
DAY 1:
DESTINATION: Arrival / Livingstone
Programme: Arrive at the Livingstone Airport where you will be met by a representative of Tongabezi who will transfer you to the lodge.
Tongabezi is a lovely lodge set on a sweeping bend in the Zambezi. It's long been one of the region's most romantic hideaways and its experienced team of staff maintain a smart, exclusive and distinctly Zambian feel. The food is first-class, served beside the river or on your private veranda. Then there's a thatched riverside bar, spacious lounge area and a rock swimming pool under a tumbling waterfall.
Tongabezi has five beautiful thatched 'cottages', all with large picture windows opening onto verandas beside the river. These are tastefully furnished and include an elegant en suite bathroom with a shower and a bath. A sixth 'garden cottage' has two linked bedrooms and a living room, surrounded by a private walled garden.
In addition, there are four spectacular individual 'houses' – stylish suites with open sides that face the river.

DAY 2 & 3:
DESTINATION: Livingstone / Kafue National Park
Programme: Enjoy breakfast after which you will visit the mighty Victoria Falls.
Depart Livingstone by light aircraft to the Kafue National Park at 14h30. A short helicopter transfer will take you to the Busanga Bush Camp.
Busanga Bush Camp lies in the heart of the Busanga Plains, a wildlife paradise that is situated in the northern region of the Kafue National Park, one of the largest national parks in Africa. The Busanga Plains covers an area of approximately 750 square kilometers and is one of Zambia's most significant
wetland resources and also one of the few areas in the world that remain untouched by development and human activity.
The camp caters for eight guests in four well-appointed tents, with wall-to-wall views of the spectacular wildlife that frequents the plain in front of the camp. The dining and bar area are under the shady canopy of majestic trees. Generally, dinners are served under the stars overlooking the floodplains, or indoors.

DAY 4 & 5:
DESTINATION: Kafue National Park / South Luangwa
Programme: Depart the Kafue National Park and continue by light aircraft to the South Luangwa National Park.
On a sweeping bend of the river, 12 kilometers north of Tena Tena, lies Nsefu. Owned and run by Robin Pope Safaris,Nsefu was the first game camp in Zambia and dates back to the early fifties. The Nsefu Sector was recognised then as a phenomenal area and it still is. It is the only area of the national park which is actually on the east side of the Luangwa River. The camp wasre-opened in 1999, in keeping with the original style, and RPS nowoperate the only two camps in the Nsefu Sector of the park. It is possible to walk between the two.
The view of the river is superb and includes a terraced area where game grazes during the day. The bar, tucked in beside a huge dormant termite mound, overlooks a waterhole that is very productive for game, especially leopard at night. The original rondavels (round rooms) have been extended, with a spacious open air bathrooms added. Each room has a clear view of the river, through large windows and from the new wooden veranda. A maximum of 12 guests are accommodated here.
Meals are taken mainly outside, though the shade of the bar area is used at lunchtime.Dinners and breakfasts are served on the river bank.

DAY 6 & 7:
DESTINATION: South Luangwa / Lower Zambezi National Park
Programme: Depart the South Luangwa National Park and continue to the Lower Zambezi.
Chongwe River Camp is situated on the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers, directly opposite Mana Pools. The Chongwe River is the boundary of the Lower Zambezi National Park, a four thousand square kilometer pristine sanctuary, teeming with game, and said to be one of the continent's most picturesque wilderness areas. A policy of non-intrusive enjoyment of wildlife and low environmental impact has preserved the area and its wildlife. The Lower Zambezi has become one of southern Africa's premier destinations for peaceful game viewing and unparalleled tiger fish angling.
There is so much to do at Chongwe River Camp. The game viewing is exceptional, and few other places can give you the choice of game drives in open safari vehicles, guided walking, canoeing or motor boating. Fishing is also a popular option. Be sure to stay for a few days to take advantage of all these opportunities, and remember also to allow time just to relax and enjoy the views from the camp.
Walking adds an extra dimension to your game viewing, and also gives the chance to appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the bush.
The Lower Zambezi is renowned for superb canoeing safaris - the most unobtrusiveway to encounter big game.

DAY 8:
DESTINATION: Lower Zambezi National Park / depart
Programme: Fly to the Livingstone airport in time to connect with your outbound flight.
Note:
Please be advised that a domestic departure tax of US$ 8 per person must be paid direct at the airport when guests depart from Livingstone or Mfuwe. Please carry the exact cash amount as large denominations are often not accepted and the airports do not always carry change.
