The 23rd INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON TELECOMMUNICATIONS, INFORMATION AND BANKING TECHNOLOGIES
April 19-22, 2016, Minsk, Republic of Belarus
The 23rd International Specialized Forum on Telecommunications, Information andBank Technologies "TIBO 2016", organized by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus together with ZAO"Technics and Communications", will be held in Minsk (Republic of Belarus) on April 19-22, 2016.
The TIBO Forum includes international specialized exhibitions "TIBO", "DIGIPRINT", "ROBOTICS", "Gaming Technology", "Trade IT", "TV & Multimedia Technologies/TMT", the Belarusian Congress on the Information Society Technologies and the Internet Award TIBO Competition.
The TIBO Forum has been traditionally drawing attention of the leading Belarusian and international manufacturers of equipment, technologies, and software since 1994; this fair is one of the largest in this field in the Republic of Belarus. In 2015, this specialized fair exhibited the products made by over 200 companies and organizations from 13countries (Austria, Belarus, China, Finland, Germany, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, USA). At that, 20% were foreign exhibitors, and about 30% were new exhibitors. There were the largest Belarusian and foreign manufacturers of telecommunication equipment, computers and software, security devices and systems, and providers of various ICT services (Cisco, Epson, HP, Huawei, LG, Nokia Siemens Networks, Panasonic, SAP, SHARP, ZTE, etc.). The business program of the Forum was comprised over 44theoretical and practical conferences, workshops, presentations and discussions.
The objectives of the Forum: to summarize information society developments in the Republic of Belarus; to analyze global practice of transition to information society and to generate suggestions on improvements of the state policy in the IT field; to promote the newest technological solutions to the Belarusian market; to popularize information technology achievements across the broad layers of the Belarusian population; to attract investments to develop information and communication technologies; to assist development of the national IT industry and entrepreneurship in the IT field; to improve the system of training, education, and retraining of the IT specialists.
The Forum is planned to organize conferences, workshops, and discussions on the core information society trends: e-governance, e-economy, and e-society.
