Dear Stan,

Maya Angelou once said, “I've learned that people will forget what you said,
but they will never forget how you made them feel.” This is especially true
in healthcare.

Every contact we have with our patients influences their feelings about and perception
of Lakewood Health System. Fortunately, we have a strong tradition of providing exceptional
service and experiences for our patients at Lakewood, and we want to keep it that way.

That is where you come in.

To sustain and improve our strong culture of providing superior patient experiences, we are forming a new Patient and Family Advisory Council, and are inviting you to join the Council as a patient/family advisor. As an advisor, you would work closely with other patients and Lakewood staff members to help make our services more responsive to the needs of patients and families and ultimately help us improve our delivery of care. You would have the opportunity to provide input on patient care and organizational processes, help create and implement programs or services, and support the mission, vision and values of Lakewood Health System from the patient perspective.

You don’t have to commit yet. We’d like to tell you more about the Council at an introductory lunch meeting on Monday, March 16th at noon in the Lakewood Health System board room on the lower level of our main campus (49725 County 83, Staples).

Please contact Jennifer Strickland, Patient Experience Director, by Thursday, March 9th at 218-894-8751 or to RSVP for the luncheon.

Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to working with you to sustain our culture of service and transform healthcare. Your involvement will impact and improve care at Lakewood for years to come.

Together in Service,

Tim Rice Jennifer Strickland, RN

President & CEO Patient Experience Director

Lakewood Health System Lakewood Health System

PS: Remember to RSVP for the luncheon by Thursday, March 9th by calling Jennifer at 218-894-8751.

We will provide lunch!
