JUMPING SERIES

Information Package

The 2016 PCAWA ‘Tim Weigall’ Jumping Series is named in honor of the late Mr. Tim Weigall who was a long standing supporter of show jumping in Western Australia.

8 / 60-70cm / 16years & Over
9 / 60-70cm / 13 – 15 years
10 / 60-70cm / 12 years & Over

The 2016 season will run from November 2nd 2015 to November 1st 2016.

Ages shall be taken as at the 1st January 2016.

ADMINISTRATION:

  • The PCAWA ‘Tim Weigall’ Jumping Series is administered by the PCAWA Office and all enquiries should be directed to the JumpingSeries Coordinator (JSC) via .
  • Organising secretaries will be provided with a template resultsheet that the JSC encourages them to use for submitting results, if not using an electronic scoring system.

CLUBS

  • Must pay a $2.50 levy on top of their entry fee regardless of whether competing in PCAWA or Open category.
  • Clubs to forward levies and full results to the PCAWA Office within 21 days of the event being held unless by prior arrangement with the PCAWA Office. Levies collected from non PCAWA Members will be retained by the club as incentive for becoming a part of the jumping series.
  • Points will not be awarded until levies and results have been received.
  • Events must run in accordance with all currentPCAWA/EWA Jumping rules
  • All events are to be officiated by PCAWA or EWA accredited judges and course builders.
  • Training days’ will cannot be included in the series.
  • The event must be open to all PCAWA riders.
  • Events may run Open classes but only placing’s in PCAWA Classes will be credited to the Leaderboard.

ELIGIBILITY FOR INCLUSION ON THE LEADERBOARD

  • To be eligible for inclusion in the Series, riders must complete a minimum of two (2) series events.
  • Horse/Rider combinations may only compete inthree (3) consecutive heights on one day.

SCORING

  • Points for 1stto 6th will be allocated as per below

  • Please note:IGA Perth Royal Show PCAWA classes, the PCAWA Jumping Committee Showcase (April) and PCAWA Show Jumping Championships will attract DOUBLE POINTS

EQUALITY OF POINTS

  • When there is an equality of points at the end of the series then final placing will be determined by the highest aggregate points score (Number of points earned divided by number of events attended)

HORSE/PONY NAMES

  • It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that the correct name is listed on all entry forms for events.

DISCIPLINARY ACTION

  • If a Member is reported three times on the official PCAWA Disciplinary Action form by a PCAWA Official within the one season, then they will forfeit their right to participate in the Series
  • If a Member is suspended by PCAWA for any period of time, they will forfeit their right to participate in the Series.

RESULTS:

  • Will be published at least 21 days prior to the scheduled presentation date.
  • Consideration to investigation or appeals will only be afforded if the ESC receives the query within 7 days of the final results being posted.

PRESENTATION

  • Awards for the 2016 Series will be presented at the 2016PCAWA Awards Night (Date TBA)

AWARDS

  • Rugs to winners of each class.
  • Rosettes 1st to 6th.
  • Level of awards may vary and is at the discretion of the PCAWA Office however total cost of awards will be at least 75% of revenue raised.

  • Increase interest in Pony Club Jumping
  • Reward participation
  • Reward success
  • Discourage stasis
  • Penalize those who incur disciplinary action by the stewards of PCAWA
  • Give Pony Club riders more opportunities
  • Support Pony Club events.
