**These texts - Deglin et al. (2010) & VanLeeuwen et al. (2011) - are also available as applications for several electronic devices. It is suggested that you use the electronic versions because they are updated throughout the year, are actually faster to access (once you learn how), and are much less to carry with you in clinical. The electronic versions can be purchased individually, but a good way to get them is by purchasing “Nursing Central,” which includes these two books plus a medical dictionary and a quick reference called Diseases and Disorders. You can read about this application and the platforms on which it runs at Be aware that you will not have WiFi available in every clinical facility, so it is better to use this with a device to which you can download the application. Once you are a School of Nursing student, we will be able to give you a link to obtain this application for 15% less than the listed price. If you have questions about the electronic version, please contact Dr. Janet Graves, Director of eLearning ( / 402-280-2007).
