IT Technician
Purpose of roleThis position will ideally suit a person whose focus is on delivering an excellent service for our client and who can work on their own as well as with a dedicated team of staff to managing delivery of a number of services on behalf of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of all IT kit requirements as requested by the business.
Location / Dungannon / Hours / 9:00am – 5:30pm
Job Type / Temp for 6 months Full Time (possibility of becoming permanent at end of 6 months) / Reporting to / Service Delivery Director
Key Responsibilities /
- Daily point of contact for the Computer Recycle Centre (CRC)
- Support the daily tracking and weekly reporting of deliverables to end users.
- Providing support to the internal and customer teams
- Management of status reports, issues and risk.
- The identification of innovation and change, including but not limited to improvement, templates and processes;
- To effectively plan for and manage deliverables
- Proactively identify, resolve, and escalate (as needed) projects/program/delivery risks/issues to manager, portfolio manager and delivery area as needed
- Drive achievement of projects/program success factors
- Represent the projects/program and its objectives in all governance/compliance/regulatory forums
- Engage appropriate stakeholders in risk identification and mitigation
- Support of all projects, deliveries in an objective manner, maintaining accurate status; keeping manager, delivery area and portfolio manager informed
- Ability to adapt and respond to changes both inside and outside the projects/program/deliverables
- Ability to lead across a wide variety of delivery types
- Carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time
- Ensure return of all kit
- Maintain the Asset Management Database to the required standard.
- Ensure the security of the CRC and the equipment contained within.
- Train and advise staff as and when required.
Criteria / Essential Criteria
• Relevant IT Qualification (does not need to be 3rd Level, a good example of what we would accept would be Comp Tia A+)
Or
• 1 years IT support services or equivalent experience of IT deployment.
• Self Motivational
• Use of MS Office and MS Project required
• Excellent communications skills
• Experience of laptop and IT Server builds preferable
Desirable Criteria
- Understanding of ITIL Service Level Management
- Experience with Logistics and planning
- Degree in IT related discipline
• May be required as and when requested.
